Pass it on

I'm sitting on my balcony at the hotel watching a wedding celebration that is taking place around the pool below. The men Middle aged most of them, are out dancing, twirling, slapping their heels and swinging their arms. Other men and children plus the bride are throwing flower pedals on them. Occasionally the dancer stops to embrace a friend, sometime his wife -I guess. There is a live band with a women singer in a long silver dress and another in crazy tight jeans and crazy high heels. Little girls dressed in their party best with flowers in their hair are running around stripping the flower arrangements of all the flowers leaving the greens looking plain and unfinished. The night is beautiful with a little breeze and the light scent of the sea just beyond the hedges wafting through every now and then. Women are out now joined by men holding hands in a circle dancing lightly in percision. A perfect night to be married, to be dancing, to be in a foreign place realizing that all people are the same-that al our joy is contagious and more than counteracts the terrible things some men do to others. Be happy today everyone. It makes the world a much better place. I love you- pass it on, Mom/dd
